As I sat on my couch sinking deeper and deeper into Youtube’s endless pit of videos, I stumbled across one of my favorite childhood tv shows, H2O: Just Add Water. I haven't watched, yet alone thought of this show since I was 12. So, like any youtube crazed person would do, I clicked on the video and started re-watching the tv show from the beginning - season 1 episode 1.

After multiple hours of watching episode after episode, I came to realize the joy in watching your favorite childhood tv shows.

I think most people don’t re-watch their favorite childhood tv shows because they’re too busy watching new shows that are more "age appropriate" for them or they don’t want to seem babyish by watching “baby” shows. Well, I am guilty as charged for watching my favorite childhood tv shows and I don’t care if I seem like a “baby” or not.

Here are some reasons why you should re-watch your favorite childhood tv shows.

1. You pick up on jokes you may not have understood when you were younger ;) if ya know what I mean.

2. It brings you a childhood joy that (if you’re a “grown-up” like muah) you may have been missing in your day-to-day life with your busy school and working schedule.

3. Sometimes you just need your brain to slow down and take a break from working hard. Kid’s TV shows are meant for children, so you don’t need to think too hard to follow along.

4. If you’re in a bad mood or feeling down these shows will bring you joy and laughter. The jokes in them can be very comical but reminiscing on when you watched them when you were younger also can cheer you up. For me, these shows remind me of my family and home.

5. They're enjoyable to watch. period. nothing more needs to be said. GO WATCH YOUR FAVORITE CHILDHOOD TV SHOWS. Just do it.

Now, here’s the real tea. What shows will I be re-watching and I recommend you do too...

1. H2O: Just Add Water (THE OLD VERSION not the NEW ONE): I grew up watching this show every day after school with my sisters as we drank hot chocolate. A lot of great memories flood back when I re-watch past episodes.

2. Wizards of Waverly Place: This is a favorite of many. Re-watching this one is a must because I believe it to be one of my generation's childhood classics. It also has a lot of jokes you may have missed when you were younger.

3. Hannah Montana: Who could forget about this infamous tv show? It wasn’t one of my favorites when I was growing up, but it brings you back to those days when you (even though you might suck at singing like me) thought you could grow up and be a pop star. Nothing is impossible.

4. Scooby Doo: My list would not be complete without throwing in this bad boy. The old Scooby Doo movies are hands down my childhood summed up into two words. It feels comforting throwing on an old Scooby Doo movie whenever I’m feeling homesick or down.

5. Drake and Josh: I couldn’t forget this classic tv show! If you’re a David Dobrik fan like me, you are reminded of Drake and Josh every time Josh Peck pops up in another one of David’s vlogs. This show not only makes me laugh my ass off but puts me in a great mood.

6. Zoey 101: Everyone knows that good old boarding school show about kids who seem like they don’t have parents. I always thought these kids seemed older because I never could imagine myself living away from my parents at such a young age. And now that I live at college most of the year, I know I wouldn’t have survived boarding school. Props to them.

7. Full House: If you didn't grow up watching this, what even was your childhood. It's a comical show that is relatable for most families.

8. George Lopez: I bet you didn't expect this one... but I've always been a night owl. So, when I was younger you could always find me downstairs at 11:00 watching George Lopez. I haven't seen all the episodes, but it's a very funny show. It would definitley be good to watch now because it's one of those shows with hidden jokes.

9. Zack and Cody: Oh man this one's a throwback. But who doesn't love to see the Sprouse brothers gang up and make Moseby life a living hell. It's great!

10. ICarly: I couldn't forget about this one. I will forever remember the episode wear they scream CABBAGES while in a pool with cabbages raining down on them. Oh also who could forget the iconic ICarly theory - Crazy Steve murdered Drake and Josh, kidnapped Megan, and created a new life for them as brother and sister, Spencer and Carly.

11. Pair of Kings: This wasn't a very popular but it aired on Disney XD and my sister and I loved to watch it together. I'm simply putting it on this list because it brings back good memories.

That’s all for this week's post. This post is short because I was on vacation all last week, but expect a new vacation vlog on my YouTube channel very soon! Keep a lookout for it.
